Guess how many pictures it took to get this image? Nine. I took three exposures of the left side (one under, one even, and one over), then three of the middle, and finally three of the right side. Once I got those nine onto my computer. I made each section into an HDR using Photomatix. Afterwards, I brought the three into Lightroom and exported to Photoshop in the automatic “merge to panorama” mode. Once in Photoshop, I used a Topaz Labs plug-in called Topaz Detail to sharpen the image up. Then I adjusted the color balance and saturation within Photoshop. Finally, I used another plug in, this one called Noiseware by Imagenomic to reduce the noise. Then I took a deep breath, looked at it, and thought: it was worth the hard work.
Oh…and PS: I shot those 9 hand held!
