I’m gearing up for another mini-series of prints here. There are a bunch of things I really love about this image. First, the layered color progression from the bottom to the top (brown to orange to rosy to metallic to green to dark blue) is very pleasing. Second, the dark lighting around the edge makes the subjects really pop. Third, the shallow depth of field means only the faces are in focus, keeping the eye on the subject. Fourth, the composition of the two faces stacked behind each other makes for a beautiful contrast. And fifth, the lady’s eyes are looking at the baby tiger, establishing this sleep dreamy little guy as the star of the show.
