My View of the Symphony of Lights
This is my take on the famous Symphony of Lights show in Hong Kong. When something is shot as much as this, as is the case with any famous landmark, you have to do something special to stand out. Before we get to that though, what I want to know is why don’t more cities do things like this? It is a major tourist attraction. Tourism government workers—get on this!
If you study the picture close you might be able to catch something…..(SPOILER ALERT!!!)….it only looked half like that. The original photograph consisted of only the right half of the image. I took the very simple step making a mirror image of it to the left to give this panorama view of the skyline. But to make it not quite so obvious, I proceeded with a few additional photoshop steps, like making the light beams slightly different, the cloud slightly different, and the colors in the water slightly different. Again, it doesn’t take much change to make it seem real, but it does take a bit of a change.
