Monet Boatride in Fenghuang
I was just cruising around the water in the morning looking for single subjects to capture. I had actually set up on this position because I liked the castle wall reflected into the water between the symmetrical white sky reflections. Then I just waited for a boat to meander through.
These kind of photographs are really hard to process into a multiple exposure HDR. Why? Because just about everything in this image is moving! The boat is moving, the person is moving, and the water is moving. The remedy: process the HDR with deghosting but then also take the next step and process your even exposure image in HDR and then blend them together.
What were my preset settings? “Greenery, Water, and Sky” for HDR. And a new preset “Cruising Up into a Painting” for Lightroom.
