I dug in deep into my archives to pull out this image from 2002. Yes, 2002—that is for all practical purposes pre-digital days. This was of course taken on a film camera. And it was also even printed in an actual darkroom (lights off, chemical, enlargers…the whole 9). Wait, so how did I get it online? So simple: I took it to a professional lab and had them use their million-dollar scanner to scan it in. I asked for the highest possible scan just for fun. The result? A 1 gb image!
This image today is exactly how it was printed in the darkroom—exactly. Check back tomorrow to see a print of this image that is not exactly how it was printed in the darkroom (read photoshop here).
