Cool Morning Sunrise Over Pillar Mountains
The night before in Zhangjiajie we had an amazing sunset. As I went to bed, I was holding out hope that would be the beginning of a streak of wonderful magic hours (magic hour in photography happens twice a day for sunrise and sunset). This morning’s sunrise wasn’t epic and crazy colorful, but I still loved it. The soft blue and mist allowed me to get this kind of rolling photo—something I’ve been after for years. I was riding such a geek-high that I took 7 autobracketed exposures for this! Of course, that was completely unnecessary (3 is all you really need with 5 usually being overkill), and then rendered completely useless as I just took the normal exposure to just did some minor color adjustments to get the final “unprocessed” picture.
