The Aura of the Pyramid and the Sphinx
Here we have a shot taken with the ancient Canon 880 pocket camera. Why? Sometimes your main camera fails. That’s why you have a backup. But then sometimes the gods just hate you and want to watch you suffer, and your backup fails too. Good thing your camera doesn’t matter. By the way, I want to note here that my Canon 880 has survived being in my pocket through multiple deployments. It gets all kind of beat up, but yet it still works no problem. My expensive cameras get the VIP treatment, get wiped down, get serviced, get kept in padded bags, and have now failed 3 different times. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I might be able to string something together about that.
Oh PS: I think grain adds a nice touch to desert photos. This shot was actually crystal clear. I added the grain.
