Here is another night photograph using the same techniques and style I talked about yesterday. Since I didn’t have a tripod, I had to take this at a decently fast shutter speed to have a hope of getting a shot that isn’t completely shaken and blurred. So, how to achieve the effect that a tripod based long shutter speed would get??? I used Topaz Labs “Topaz Lens Effects” and selected “motion blur” and then specifically “spiral motion.” Then I played around with the location, angle, and amount of spiral blur until I got one swooping in from the left and one swooping in from the right. After that, I brought it to Photoshop to mask that effect into the image at just the right places where people would be muddling about. Oh! And then as an added bonus…I used Topaz Labs new “Star Effects” to make the light from inside the rooms glow like they are. In summation, Topaz Labs helped turn the original image into this piece of art. Enjoy!
